Even After The Bankruptcy Of Solyndra Obama Rushes Through Billion More In Green Loans

Barack Obama at Solyndra

After the massive collapse and bankruptcy of U.S. President Barack Obama's $535,000,000 pet project, funded by the taxpayers, known as the solar company Solyndra, most would think the administration would be more cautious in doling out the people's money in said sector of the economy. Not so.

The Obama Administration has just rushed out $9 billion dollars more in taxpayer money to the solar industry, in an attempt at beating China, which has cost effectively perfected the sale and distribution of said apparatus, at a very low cost.

Once again, as the Judiciary Report has stated for 2 and a 1/2 years, these non-necessity initiatives need to be placed on the back burner, until America is on stronger financial footing. The taxpayers and the nation deficit cannot afford any more costly mistakes.

If I were a head of state facing the financial problems America is, I would stick to proven industries that can provide quick and robust returns and shore them up. You reward success, not failure. Yes, it is wise to not give up, but one must use common sense and moderation in how one goes about things, when trying again, especially when the financial stability and success of a nation of 305,000,000 people are at stake.

Executives From Obama's Bankrupt Solyndra Will Plead The Fifth In Congressional Hearing

Barack Obama

Reuters is reporting today that executives of the newly bankrupt solar company, Solyndra, who President Obama fully backed, attended their corporate meetings and gave $500,000,000 in taxpayer money the country will never see again, will plead the fifth in Congressional hearings, invoking the Constitution, to prevent self-incrimination. This lends the appearance of guilt on their part and the taxpayers deserve a better explanation, rather than none at all via a cop out.

Government Gullibility: Played For Suckers Or Was Solyndra A Front For Something Else

Barack Obama to White House staffer: this is the President. I'd like for you to send some gold bricks to Solyndra and gift wrap it with the note, "From Barry, with Love."

In reading the latest information coming out about the bankruptcy of President Obama's favored Solyndra solar company, which wasted over a half a billion dollars of taxpayer money, one is left to wonder, was the government really that gullible, did Solyndra play the Obama administration for suckers or was the company a cover for something else.

$535 million dollars is a lot of money to commit to a new company, especially one with unproven products and services. Yet, the government had no qualms about doing so, fast tracking the loan within six days, jumping in head first, in what was a terrible deal from the outset. Do you know how many small businesses in America would love a simple $5,000 to $10,000 loan and can't get one, yet Solyndra received this windfall of cash.

President Barack Obama and Chris Gronet of Solyndra

The FBI demands taxpayer money from Congress, claiming it is for one thing, but behind closed doors, often uses it for illegal secret programs that shred the U.S. Constitution. Was Solyndra using taxpayer money for reasons other than what was disclosed to the public, as I find it hard to believe any company could blow through half a billion dollars and have absolutely nothing to show for it. What happened here.

I have a question, if I go to Home Depot, buy some sheets of Plexiglas, spray them black, leave them out in the sun and call it a solar initiative, will the government give me $528,000,000 to play with too. Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.

The FBI raiding Solyndra. Yea, now they want to investigate something, after the brown stuff hit the fan and the taxpayers' money is gone

An article published yesterday in the San Francisco Chronicle indicates, Solyndra sent an "upbeat" report to the government in July 2011 and they apparently bought it hook line and sinker (Feds probe Solyndra's upbeat July report). This was six weeks before they filed for bankruptcy, yet as recently as six months ago, the Judiciary Report again warned the Obama Administration needed to drop its solar initiatives.

If I knew, shouldn't the government have known as well. You mean to tell me the White House and the FBI, an investigative agency, where the President meets with its director, Robert S. Mueller, on a weekly basis, did not know what was going on at Solyndra.

Obama at Solyndra pretending he understands what they are talking about, not realizing it is rubbish that will go on to cost the taxpayers a boatload of cash. He should have let me go there for him, because the first thing out of my mouth after their long speech would have been, "You're talking pure bull!"

It's amazing - the FBI will illegally pry into the lives of writers such as myself (FBI Reproved For Spying On Journalists), day and night, even inappropriately talking to people I know personally, in bids at unconstitutionally swaying my sites and wanting to have unflattering things about them removed, yet a company like Solyndra that was loaned a half a billion dollars in taxpayer funds, they ignored, allowing them to blow all that money and during a financial crisis.

I'm pretty sure, had you collectively asked the taxpayers, who they would have wanted you to spend taxpayer money investigating, giving them the option:

a.) a wonderful annoying, smart alec blogger with a proven track record record of exclusives, who accurately called the FBI a bunch of corrupt privacy invaders wasting the taxpayers' money (the male ego can be so fragile)

-or-

b) a company (Solyndra) loaned $500,000,000 of taxpayer money that will go bankrupt and not repay it, much like the annoying blogger in option "a" warned would fail WELL BEFORE IT HAPPENED.

I'm sure the American people would have chosen option "b" Solyndra over the irritating, smart alec blogger that didn't do anything to anyone. As usual, the FBI continues to pry into the lives of the wrong people, while the real trouble happens elsewhere.

My point? The taxpayer money you wasted watching writers like me and covering it up by hiding the Freedom of Information Act files that reveal it, you could have spent investigating Solyndra and stopped this waste of $500,000,000 in taxpayer money, before the damage was substantial. Personally, I'm offended.

Obama Administration Mum On How Many Jobs They Can Create For $420 Billion In Taxpayer Money

Will It Be Another Fiasco Like Solyndra

Barack Obama

For the past 2 and ½ years, the Judiciary Report, has consistently warned the government need not waste taxpayer money on frivolous stimulus initiatives and must guarantee a maximum number of jobs are created, if they are going to use said funds. Well, they did not listen and hundreds of billions of dollars in taxpayer money has been wasted - flushed down the toilet on frivolous misadventures, misappropriation and flat out theft and embezzlement.

Again, President Obama is back with the same speech, stating Congress must pass his latest jobs bill, but with the track record of failure under the administration’s belt in these endeavors, I’m not holding my breath anything significant will come of this. There's too much room for error and waste.

President Obama at Solyndra

Case in point, as mentioned previously, the Judiciary Report warned against Obama’s solar initiatives that later went on to fail, as the president’s pet project, Solyndra, which he sat in on meetings for, filed for bankruptcy two weeks ago, after only creating 585 jobs for $535 million dollars in taxpayer money. Other examples of egregious waste exist in Obama’s budget over the past couple years, but are being buried from the mainstream press.

Some hard questions need to be asked and publicly so, such as, how many jobs will the Obama Administration create if Congress passes its latest $447 billion dollar stimulus jobs bill, as given their history of failure in this regard, the taxpayers can't afford anymore costly mistakes. The economy has slipped away from the administration.

Side Bar: Why did Obama order the FBI to raid Solyndra last week, essentially to save face after they filed for bankruptcy, when he was very involved in the company, even attending corporate meetings. President Obama had to have known what was going on, as did the FBI/DOJ and DOE. They knew the inefficient and extravagant company was DOA, but kept supporting them with taxpayer money anyway.

Obama Solar Firm Fails Filing For Bankruptcy And Laying Off 1,110 People

Hate To Say I Told You So, But I Told You So

Barack Obama

Solyndra, the solar company U.S. President Barack Obama, personally and publicly backed, giving the corporation $535,000,000 in taxpayer money, has filed for bankruptcy, laying off its 1,110 workers.

For a number of reasons, the failure of this company is a serious blow to the U.S. economy and the White House for underwriting it. The U.S. taxpayer is out over half a billion dollars, unemployment shall go up, jobs that could have been created with that money will not be and President Obama’s credibility has taken another hit.

The Judiciary Report warned President Obama in a string of articles to back off his solar initiative, but he did not and to disastrous results. From the beginning of Obama’s presidency, the Judiciary Report has warned that the White House, U.S. Congress, FBI, CIA and other divisions of the government, should economize and prioritize.

However, that message fell on deaf ears. Much like when I warned in 2006 via a sister site (Sound Off Column) that a financial crisis was coming and it did two years later, but the government ignored that as well, when it could have been prevented. The government has been gambling with/spending taxpayer money, like a lottery winner, splurging with newly gained funds, only to end up bankrupt in a few short years, due to poor financial planning.

Barack Obama

The Judiciary Report would like to revisit its jobs plan from early 2009 (Obama Calls For Job Summit and Nancy Pelosi Speaks About STDs), to emphasize why the U.S. economy is still in the toilet two years later.

As stated above, the U.S. government, under Barack Obama, personally gave Solyndra over half a billion dollars in U.S. taxpayer money to play with - yet as we can see based on reports, they only employed 585 people with said funds, which is economic rubbish.

This solar initiative was not a priority. The Judiciary Report warned again regarding it as recently as April. There is no excuse. That money should have gone to more practical job creation, where much more people would have been employed for those same taxpayer funds, thus noticeably decreasing unemployment as stated in the article Obama Calls For Job Summit.

Had Obama followed the Judiciary Report's aforementioned job creation outline, over two and a half years ago, unemployment would not be ridiculously high and rising, as it is today. Coupled with appropriate taxation and budget cuts, the economy would have been doing quite well today.

President Obama at Solyndra

Do you know how many jobs I could create for over half a billion dollars, yet the government, utilizing poor oversight, which the Judiciary Report expressly warned against in 2009, allowed Solyndra to create just 585. I keep repeating that because the government does not seem to get it.

For that money why employ 585 individuals when you could employ over 35,000 people for those same funds, in stable, proven industries. These costly missteps and mistakes coming out of Washington are clearly about someone's agenda, rather than what is in the best interest of the general public.

As stated in the bullet train articles, this is not the time for experimentation. Vanity projects need to wait until America is on stable financial footing. The government is not prioritizing and it is very perturbing, as people in America are suffering, yet Washington continues to put the cart before the horse. Once again, you must prioritize.

Furthermore, the Judiciary Report has concerns about too many people jumping into the solar industry, without proper scientific investigation. Not only is it very costly per household at the current rate of the technology, will every company use the same calibration for each piece of solar apparatus, as invariably, overuse to certain degrees, by too many people worldwide could harm the sun. Frankly, the latter is not a pretty scenario. The industry needs universal regulations and standards, as this is a serious issue.

The Grammys Are Concerned Toni Braxton's Awards Will Be Auctioned

Toni Braxton

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), which is the organization that awards singer with Grammys, has made an appearance in singer Toni Braxton's bankruptcy case, out of concern the six awards she has won during her 20-year music career could be seized and auctioned, to satisfy her many debts.

Braxton fell seriously ill with breast cancer, lupus and angina, which made her unable to work for a time. As a result, Braxton fell behind on credit card payments to high end retailers and other financial obligations. Due to the fact she did not disclose the full extent of her health problems, the insurer that underwrote her Las Vegas performance policy, did not pay the $10,000,000 guarantee in the event her stage run abruptly ended.

Braxton's financial woes grabbed unflattering headlines last year, when she filed for bankruptcy, the second time in a decade, prompting claims she is a spendthrift not in charge of her financial affairs. Braxton's latest Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing, already saw her reluctantly relinquish her million dollar mansion in Atlanta, Georgia's Sugarloaf Country Club. The legal documents also list her Grammy awards among her possessions.

It's all good and fine that they made an appearance in the case, in an attempt to protect their brand. However, the Grammys are a complete farce now, when a screamer singer like Beyonce Knowles, among others, can criminally commit wholesale theft of valuable copyrights worth many millions and win more Grammy awards than Aretha Franklin, in one fifth the time. It says the organization's credibility is gone.

You are giving out Grammys like candy to people that did not earn them, which has taken the prestige and heft from your awards. I also have it on good authority, though you do not want the Grammy awards sold to non-recipients, the voting process can be bought to rig a desired outcome on behalf of artists that did not earn it. The aforementioned two problems, which will mushroom into a forthcoming scandal, when specific details are brought to light before the public, are the real issues the Grammys need to be focused on.

Will Reality Show Clear Up Toni Braxton's Debts And Financial Troubles

Toni Braxton

In 2010, Grammy Award winning singer, Toni Braxton, filed for bankruptcy - the second time in a decade. In 2010, Braxton lost her $2,400,000 Las Vegas home to foreclosure. She also gave up her primary residence, a 7 bedroom, 7 bathroom, $1,500,000 Duluth mansion, set in the Sugarloaf Country Club.

Braxton initially fought to keep the attractive, sprawling home. However, her creditors forced foreclosure, but due to the property having negative equity, Braxton was advised not to challenge it. She ended up surrendering the property, in what had to be a very difficult blow.

Braxton's former home in Duluth, lost to foreclosure

In the 1990s, LaFace Records, gave Braxton a reported settlement of $20,000,000 as apart of a renegotiation fee on her recording contract, after the bad publicity from her first bankruptcy. Label mates, TLC, were reportedly given the same, as they too had filed bankruptcy.

Braxton's former home in Las Vegas, gone to foreclosure

In 2006, Braxton signed a lucrative Las Vegas performance deal with the Flamingo hotel, but fell ill a year and a half into the multi-million dollar run. This is where her troubles began, as she'd taken on new debts and insurers refused to pay when she became ill, stating she hid her medical condition from them, which is a violation of the performer's policy. Braxton is battling lupus, angina and breast cancer.

Braxton's Las Vegas show was cancelled due to illness

It is regrettable that Braxton did not buy a home outright, when she had cash surpluses, rather than obtaining mortgages, as she would not have lost her main residence, which was clearly distressing. She is also older now, 43, with her health problems impacting her appearance. There also exists a pathetic ageism in the vain entertainment industry.

Braxton Family Values

However, with the success of her reality show "Braxton Family Values" that has brought in a moderate amount of money, with residuals and DVD sales to come, will Braxton get back in the black. That depends. Her 2010 bankruptcy filing was filed with debts to luxury retailers and establishments, such as Tiffany's, BMW, Neiman Marcus and the Four Seasons.

Braxton's spending would have to drastically change, in order to rebuild her finances from the ground up and maintain a solid financial profile. Her health is also a factor, which should indicate to her to save up for a rainy day.
