Secret romance: Peter Andre has been dating 26-year-old dancer Kristina Macmillan, pictured together in Egypt this month


He's been trying to keep a secret relationship under wraps for some time now, and now we may know why.

It has been reported that Peter Andre is dating a back-up dancer who is 12 years younger than him.

The Australian singer, 38, is understood to be head over heels for 26-year-old Kristina Macmillan.

Andre has been coy about the status of the relationship, telling new! magazine last month: 'I don't want to say if it's on or off as I just don't know what I want. I could end up going on a date with her next week. Who knows?'

While a source told the magazine that the romance was 'more off than on' at the moment.

'Pete and Kristina were seeing each other, but they're not right now. Luckily, they're still really good friends and there's no awkwardness between them,' the source said.

'Pete thinks she's a beautiful girl, but it's one of those situations where they're probably better off as friends than as lovers.'

But Miss Macmillan was tweeting pictures of the pair looking cosy as recently as a fortnight ago.

She posted a candid photograph of the couple laughing, her affectionately touching the star's face, with the caption 'Always a laugh working with Andre.'

The were in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt where Andre performed on September 2.

A month earlier the pair were together in Marbella and Kristina tweeted another photo of her and Peter sitting together surrounded by a band.

Miss Macmillan, sister of Six D singer Cassie Macmillan, has toured also toured with Take That.

She also appeared as Cha Cha DiGregorio in the West End stage show Grease.

Kristina accompanied Andre's friend Amy Childs and his manager Claire Powell to watch him make a guest appearance two weeks ago in Ghost: The Musical to help raise money for Children In Need.

Peter Andre is nervous about love

London, July 9 : Singer Peter Andre is in a dilemma about his love life because he wants to find right woman but is nervous about trusting anyone again following his divorce.

 The reality TV star who has two children, Junior, six, and four-year-old Princess Tiaamii, with his ex-wife Katie Price would like to settle down with right girl again in future, but says it's hard to find the right woman because he has such a busy life, reports contactmusic.com.

"I wish there was a woman in my life but I'm such a contradiction. Part of me wants to be with someone, part of me just can't commit," he said.

"I'm a dad, I'm working all the time and after having my life ripped to pieces when my marriage ended, I've completely rebuilt everything and made a life for myself and my kids. Once you get used to being single, it's hard to let someone in. But I'd like to find that perfect woman," he added.

Peter Andre doesn't have time to date

London, July 7 : Singer Peter Andre says he is not looking to get into any relationship anytime soon because he does not have time to date.

After separating from model Katie Price, the singer last dated model Elen Rivas, but their relationship broke down in April due to their hectic careers.

"Why should someone put up with only seeing me on my terms? Any girl I see now, I can't see it developing into a relationship. How can it?" he told new! magazine.

"I don't know where I'm at personally at the moment. (I'd like a girlfriend) but it's not practical. I think I'd be asking too much from someone," he added.

Andre also revealed he wants to have meaningful relationships with people rather than one-night stands, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I'm happy with work but my personal life is all over the place. I just can't get it right. There's a barrier up. You meet people and then you get intimate before you get to know them but then my barriers go up," he said.

"I'm a very private person. But I'm in the sort of state of mind where I'm not sure I'm happy with just having fun."
