Shake it, baby! Jennifer Lopez takes to the stage at the iHeartRadio music festival in a red tasseled outfit that flashed her famous derriere during a very vigorous dance routine


She was just one of many acts to take to the stage during the star-studded iHeartRadio music festival this weekend.

But Jennifer Lopez left her contemporaries firmly in the shade with a sexy and sassy performance showing that the much-loved pop diva is well and truly back to her booty-shaking best.

It was certainly her intention last night with the focus on her famous derriere as she took to the stage in a red feathery tasseled outfit.


The 42-year-old strutted her stuff and left her backing dancers gaping in her wake as she shook her bottom - and then flashed it to her delighted backing band.

Jennifer was performing on the second and final day of the festival, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

You go, girl! Egged on by her wolf-whistling backing dancers, Jennifer wiggled and shook her curves and tassels


She performed a red hot set that include her new single Papi, and other hits including Get Right, On The Floor, Let's Get Loud, Ain't It Funny and her classic, Jenny From The Block.

And it proved to be a busy weekend for the star who jetted in from the set of her new film Parker in Boca Raton, Florida, to perform at the event.

She was one of many acts that performed at the two-day festival, including Lady Gaga, Steve Tyler, Nicki Minaj, Nicole Scherzinger, Sting and Usher.

Gaga, who headlined the concert, was her usual wacky self as she arrived on stage on a motorbike that had been built up using car and motorbike parts.

Dressed in a long leather studded coat, she teamed her look with a very wide tasseled black hat as she treated her fan-filled audience to a number of her hits, including Judas, Bad Romance and Just Dance.

She also spoke about her male alter-ego Joe Caldone and 'his' appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

Speaking to host Elvis Duran, she said: 'Who does he think he is going on national television and speaking about my personal life like that? He’s a sucker.'

And in a rather poignant moment, she dedicated her song 'Hair' to Jamey Rodemeye, a 14-year-old boy who committed suicide after being incessantly bullied at school.

The youngster, who was from Buffalo, New York, was found dead after an apparent suicide last week having posted in a blog for months about the bullying and how people would launch gay insults at him.

Before he died, he posted a lyric from Lady Gaga's song The Queen on his Facebook page which said: 'Don't forget me when I come crying to heaven's door.'

Jennifer Lopez joins 'Parker' cast

London, Aug 9 : Actress Jennifer Lopez has signed up to star opposite to Jason Statham in "Parker".

JLo, who took a three-year break from films before making Alan Poul's "The Back-Up Plan" last year, will join actor Jason Statham along with Nick Nolte for forthcoming noirthriller.

The 42-year old will play a real estate agent, while Nolte will be a mentor to Statham's title character in the movie, which is an adaptation of Donald Westlake's 2000 book Flashfire.

Describing JLo's role, director Taylor Hackford told the Hollywood Reporter: "She plays a real estate agent who finds that a little larceny may in fact be in the cards for her."

Patti LuPone, Emma Booth, Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce and Clifton Collins Jr will also star in the movie.

The filming of the movie will start in New Orleans this week and the flick is set to release in October, next year.

Jennifer Lopez beats Anthony-split blues with Miami b'day celebration

Washington, July 25 : Jennifer Lopez has chased away the blues caused by her recent split from husband Marc Anthony, by celebrating her 42nd birthday in Miami.

Lopez and her entourage of 16, which included her mother, sister, manager and stylist, enjoyed a lavish dinner at Scott Conant's restaurant, Scarpetta, inside the Fontainebleau hotel

"Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening dress," People magazine quoted a source as saying.

"And when they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing. She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying for hours. They closed down the restaurant," the source added.

Lopez and seven others had also enjoyed a pre-birthday dinner at the Wine Cellar of the Forge on Miami Beach.

Jennifer Lopez demands 21m dollars matching Simon Cowell to return to 'American Idol'

London, July 26 : Pop star Jennifer Lopez has demanded 21 million dollars to continue as a judge on the ‘American Idol’.

The 42-year-old singer, who recently broke up with her husband Marc Anthony, gave the show’s bosses a tough time last week after it was learnt that she would not make a comeback to the hit ITV2 series.

However, the executives claimed that the star has returned to the negotiating table - and admitted they were confident she would return.

“We’re in good shape. No worries. No dark clouds on the horizon,” the Sun quoted show boss Cecile Frot-Coutaz as saying.

However, the negotiation will cost the bosses a big sum as sources now have suggested that Lopez has claimed an equal amount to what Simon Cowell had been earning when he was a judge on the Fox TV show – 21 million dollars.

Lopez received 8 million dollars, nearly three times less than Cowell, last time.

London, July 20 : It has emerged that Marc Anthony hated the fact that Jennifer Lopez was a sex symbol, and he constantly tried to control her wardrobe.

Reports said that the 42-year-old Latin singer wanted his wife to look a little more demure when it came to her wardrobe. 

“He would make her feel terrible about herself if she wanted to wear something sexy,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as telling Us Weekly.

“He likes her to dress in a demure, ‘wife’ style. He hated the fact that she was a sex symbol,” the source said.

Another source revealed that Anthony tried to make fashion choices for her when she took part in a photo shoot last year. 

Anthony is said to have objected to a particular photograph that he found “too sexy and unbecoming for a 40-year-old mother of two,” the insider stated. 

“Marc has always been a very dominating husband. He wants to control everything Jennifer does,” another source added.

London, July 20 : Singer Jennifer Lopez and her estranged husband Marc Anthony will go head with their new fashion range, despite the spilt.

The couple - who announced their separation last week - had earlier signed a deal to create a clothing and accessories line for Kohl's with Tommy Hilfiger, scheduled for launch in September.

Although their designs were set to be a collaborative effort, Lopez will now work on the women's collection while Anthony will work on the menswear, reports contactmusic.com.

"The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony brands have always been positioned as two separate, distinctive collections that offer high-quality contemporary style for men and women, and we look forward to a successful September launch," said a spokesperson.

London, July 18 : Singer Jennifer Lopez and estranged husband Marc Anthony's reality show will go ahead despite their split.

The former couple wanted to start a massive global tour in order to find the best Latin wannabes for their new TV show "Q'viva! The Chosen".

According to spokesman for Xix  Entertainment, the company which pioneered the reality programme has rubbished reports that project has been thrown into jeopardy after their split.

"They're both committed to Q'viva! and will work on it as planned. The show goes on," contactmusic.com quote the representative as saying.

Jennifer Lopez to return to 'American Idol'?

Washington, July 11 : Jennifer Lopez is reportedly staying on as a judge on ‘American Idol’ following her continued involvement with the show.

According to E! Online, Lopez, 41, has allegedly signed on the dotted line for the 11th season of the Fox show, and will be joining current judges, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.

She had initially told Radio One DJ Scott Mills that she was unsure about her future on the Idol judging panel.


“I don’t know. I haven’t been forced to make a decision and I’m glad about that because honestly I’m very on the fence about it,” Radar Online quoted her as telling Mills.


“I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it, but I have a lot of other things happening and it’s going to come down to me making a decision of what I want to do for the next year,” she added.

London, July 3 : Jennifer Lopez has launched a new perfume 'Love and Light' with the support from her mother.

The mother-daughter duo appeared on HSN live to unveil Lopez's latest fragrance, which is the America Idol judge's 10th perfume.

The Spanish beauty said that she wants the perfume to channel what's inside each of us.

"With Love and Light, I wanted to create a fragrance that was less about the world around you and more about your inner light and your spirit," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

"'It's about how you feel inside, it's not about your outside world," she added.

The perfume will retail for 58 dollars and would become available in department stores this September.

Jennifer Lopez may quit 'American Idol' under hubby's pressure

Washington, June 26 : It has emerged that Jennifer Lopez may not return to judge the 'American Idol' because her husband Marc Anthony wants her to quit the show.

According to EntertainmentWise, a source said Marc Anthony is 'pushing Lopez to quit Idol because he wants her to spend more time with him and their children," reports Contact music.

The source added that the actress and singer "is ready to commit to a few more seasons, because she loves the job and the money, but Marc wants her to quit so she can spend more time with him."

Jennifer Lopez claims banned video is not a 'sex tape'

Washington, June 20 : Jennifer Lopez has claimed that the personal video that her ex- husband Ojani Noa was trying to sell was not a sex tape.

The 41-year-old singer admitted that it was upsetting that Noa, whom she had split with after less than a year of marriage in 1998, would try to sell it in the first place.

Although Lopez’s ex-husband has been banned from releasing the tape, which reportedly contains 27 hours of footage, she has insisted that it is not a sex tape.

“My first husband has tapes of us from our life. It''s horrible. It''s horrible someone would try to sell personal things, but there''s nothing on it. There''s no sex tape,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Culture magazine.
