Miami Beach Police Department Pulls Weapon On Beyonce's Sister Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles

The Miami Beach Police Department pulled a weapon on Beyonce Knowles' sister, Solange Knowles, for being uncooperative and disobeying orders they issued, after she was being disruptive outside a South Beach club.

Solange Knowles Tweet On Twitter

The eccentric Knowles, was carrying a massive, 5-foot inflated banana when trying to gain admittance into a club. When she was denied entrance to the club, due to the giant fruit, she pulled the race card. The club owners called police, stating she was disturbing the peace.

Knowles continued to be belligerent, even as the police tried to calm the situation, which led to them "pulling a weapon" on her. She later filed a complaint with the Miami Beach Police Department regarding the incident, claiming innocence. The Miami Beach Police Department stated the officers were off duty. So to be clear, Knowles is calling Club Cameo and the Miami Beach Police Department racist.

Side Bar: Why was she trying to go into a club with a 5-foot banana. Though I don't go to clubs, I've seen ads stating they have dress codes. How would a big old banana figure into that. What would the ad say, "Cocktail dress, heels and a 5-foot yellow Chiquita banana."

ABC Receives A Flood Of Complaints From The Public For Adding Transgender Chaz Bono To Dancing With The Stars

Chaz Bono

Openly gay lesbian, Chaz Bono, born Chastity Bono, 42, recently underwent a sex change operation to go from a woman to a man. This month she was announced as a participant in the next season of the television show "Dancing With The Stars." However, the ABC network has received a flood of complaints from angry viewers offended at her sex change that do not want her on their television screens.

Bono is the daughter of singer Cher and her late husband, Sonny Bono. She spoke of an incident when she was 15-years-old, regarding a time that Cher left her with one of her older female friends, to go on tour and Chaz was molested by the older lesbian pal of her mom. Cher was furious. Bono spoke of it as her introduction to sex and the point where she became a lesbian. Bono stated in her book that Cher was upset that she became a lesbian, kicking her out of the house. She also stated her mom was angry she had a sex change and discouraged it.

Cher and Chastity Bono

While I do not agree with homosexuality, as I am a Christian and like most religions of the world, such as Islam and Buddhism, the gay lifestyle is deemed a sin, I feel sorry for Chaz Bono. She seems like a woman going through a lot. Her eyes always look so sad and tormented. Bono seems like she is hurting and struggling with terrible emotional pain, conflict and turmoil. I pray she will find God one day and return to being who He made her - a woman.

'She's got plenty of property - let her have them': Fury at Vanessa Redgrave after she backs travellers' fight against eviction from Europe's biggest

Last-ditch High Court bid to prevent bailiffs entering site from midnight

By Andrew Levy

Backing: Actress Vanessa Redgrave, right, speaks to the media at Dale Farm alongside traveller Mary Ann McCarthy, second left, and Dale Farm supporter Anne Kobayashi

She has never been shy to speak up for a controversial cause.

And last night Vanessa Redgrave was at the centre of a fresh dispute as she backed ‘strong, wise, warm and gentle’ travellers in their fight against eviction from Europe’s largest illegal camp.

The veteran actress arrived at the 1,000-strong settlement at Crays Hill in Essex to say that kicking out the inhabitants – who must leave by tonight under the terms of an eviction notice – would breach their human rights.

But neighbours accused the 74-year-old of ‘interfering with something she knows nothing about’. They have complained of threats, anti-social behaviour, petty crime and fly-tipping.

Support: Miss Redgrave visits Gratton Puxton, far left, baby Caitlin Mcarthy and her mother at the site ahead of tomorrow's eviction day

Property developer Len Gridley, 52, whose land is bordered by the site, said: ‘She is an actress who doesn’t live in the real world.

‘She is like all the Left-wingers and tree-huggers who come here. If they really knew what it was like they would be on my side of the fence.

‘She’s got plenty of property – let her have them. I think she’d have them on her land for a week and then she’d change her mind.

‘She shouldn’t be interfering with something she knows nothing about. This is green belt land and it should stay green belt land.’

Big issue: Dale Farm is the largest Romany Gypsy and Irish Traveller site in the United Kingdom

Another resident, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals, said: ‘We have suffered for years while the travellers have acted like a law unto themselves and used the legal system to sit tight.

‘Vanessa Redgrave has no right to stick her oar in.’

The actress, who has made more than 80 films, is a prominent Left-wing activist who has backed causes including the unification of Ireland, nuclear disarmament and opposition to the Iraq War.

Speaking at the traveller camp, she said she hoped ‘humanity would triumph’, adding: ‘The whole situation is really about planning – there’s no crime that’s been committed.’

Earlier in the day, she said: ‘I am certain that the eviction is illegal under international, mandatory, human rights conventions. I am appalled that such an action can be upheld by our Government.’

Protest: The residents of Dale Farm say the eviction is a massive waste of public money and that they will put up resistance if police try to force them out

Resistance: The Dale Farm travellers say that they won't go quietly if police move in. Many locals fear the situation will turn ugly

Dozens of legal plots have existed at the Crays Hill site for decades but hundreds more travellers began developing land there a decade ago and have used human rights laws and legal aid to fight Basildon Council’s attempts to move them.

The Court of Appeal finally ruled last year that more than 80 families on 52 plots should leave, but the travellers have threatened violent resistance.

Today one of the travellers, Mary Flynn, launched an 11th-hour High Court bid to stop the evictions on the grounds that she was suffering from ill health.

The 72-year-old said that if bailiffs switched off electricity at the site, a nebuliser she uses to aid breathing would cut out.

Mary O’Brien, a mother of two who lives at the camp, said last night: ‘These are our homes. We are not going to go without a fight. It will be bloody and violent.’

Basildon Council said warning letters would be sent to those who ignored the eviction notice.

Bride stole £170,000 from her boss for lavish dream wedding... but was rumbled when she invited HIM

-Mother-of-one entertained guests with a magician, harpist and two bands

-Treated herself to a £1,500 jewel-encrusted iPad case

-Employer had already increased Lane's wages after she pleaded poverty

By Louise Boyle

Indulgent: Kirsty Lane, pictured with husband Graham, planned her dream wedding at a Tudor-built hall and laid on a free bar for guests along with two bands and a fireworks display

A bride paid for her lavish wedding - including two bands, a free bar and a fireworks display - with the £168,000 she had stolen from her boss.

Kirsty Lane, 29, only aroused the suspicions of her former employer when she invited him to her no- expenses spared big day.

Lane stole the money from the company in Leyland, Lancashire where she'd worked for four years by falsifying invoices in her role as a part-time accounts clerk.

Her former boss Peter Sutton said today that her 'unbridled greed' had almost ruined the business.

Mr Sutton, from Preston, said two people lost their jobs because of the ordeal.

He said: 'It was like she was rubbing our faces in it. It was the wedding that first started to raise alarm bells.

'Up to that point we had no idea. She was always claiming poverty and didn't do anything that would tip us off.

'Then the wedding was the most lavish thing I've ever seen. I trusted her implicitly and this was how she repaid us.'

The mother-of-one admitted to 122 counts of fraud at Leyland Magistrates' Court for stealing from audio visual company Pure AV where she worked until January.

The court heard how she used the stolen money to fund her dream wedding earlier this year to fiance Graham at the Tudor-built Great Hall at Mains venue, in Little Singleton, near Blackpool.

She laid on a fireworks show, harpist, saxophone player, magician, two bands, a DJ, free bar, face painting and even bought elaborate feathered masks for all her guests.

She purchased bridesmaids dresses using company accounts and even bought a lavish £1,500 jewel-encrusted case for her iPad.

My big fraudulent wedding: Kirsty Lane and her bridesmaids show off some bizarre matching Uggs at the ceremony in Lancashire

Sealed with a kiss: The couple's lavish wedding took place at Mains venue in Little Singleton, near Blackpool

Lane pleaded guilty to ten counts of fraud worth a total of £38,000 and asked for a further 112 counts of fraud to be taken into consideration.

Mr Sutton said he did not suspect anything was amiss until he and colleagues attended the function and were shocked at how 'elaborate' the celebrations were.

Days after the wedding, while Lane was off enjoying a 'mini-moon' in the Lake District, Mr Sutton said a routine problem with an account set off alarm bells about financial discrepancies which made him look more closely at the accounts.

He found Lane had been using real invoices to existing suppliers to make payments into her own bank account for more than two years.

Rolling in it: The bride's dream wedding was funded by false invoices that she paid into her bank account

It took two months to uncover the full extent of the deception. Lane was arrested at her home in Adlington as she was preparing to go on a longer honeymoon to Mexico.

Mr Sutton said: 'If she had been in work when the problem surfaced she would have been able to hide it like she had for so long.

'But because I was already getting suspicious, it all started to come out. It was a very clever, incredibly devious operation that was calculated to the nth degree.

No expense spared: Canapes were served at the reception, along with Buck's Fizz amid ornate flower displays

'You read about these things but you never think it will happen to you. It caused a lot of sleepless nights. We are not a large company, a lot of livelihoods depend on us.

'How it didn't sink us I don't know. It is only through the sheer determination of the rest of the team that we are still here.'

Mr Sutton said the company even loaned Lane £7,000 and increased her wages after she complained she was struggling financially, despite stealing thousands.

Lane refused to comment when asked for her response at her home in Adlington.

She has been bailed to appear at Leyland Magistrates' Court on October 13 ahead of sentencing at Preston Crown Court later.

Spanx, swimwear and spray tanning: It's business as usual for reality TV's most voluptuous stars in new series Big Sexy

By Sarah Bull

Scroll down for video

Spanx and spray tanning: Plus-size models Tiffany Bank (left) and Nikki Gomez are seen getting ready for their day in New York in new TLC reality series Big Sexy

They might be on the heavier side when it comes to fashion modelling, but the stars of a new U.S. reality show Big Sexy are determined to prove that big is indeed beautiful.

Models Tiffany Bank and Nikki Gomez, stylist and bikini designer Heather Roach, stylist Leslie Medlick and make-up artist Audrey Curry are seen attempting to break into the New York fashion industry in a bid to challenge stereotypes.

But while the group are determined to change perceptions of bigger women in Manhattan, there are still some model staples they can't do without - namely control underwear and spray tanning.

Working it: On last night's episode, Nikki was seen modelling in a swimwear campaign alongside a slimmer model

Plus-size model Tiffany was seen struggling to pour her curves into a pair of Spanx, while her colleague Nikki was shown modelling in a swimwear campaign alongside a slimmer model.

Talking about the show, Tiffany said: 'People will be surprised about how relatable we all are. People assume a lot of things about plus-sized women, that we’re lazy or unhealthy, but you will see it’s not the case.

'We’re really funny and really interesting, I think people of all shapes and sizes and from all backgrounds will be able to relate to at least one of us.'

Changing perceptions: The three-part series will focus on the five women trying to break into the New York fashion industry

Splash! The women, all aged between 24 and 34, take a running jump into the swimming pool

The first episode of the three-part TLC show showed the five women - who are all aged between 24 and 34 - launch a runway swimwear show after being told they were too big to model on a 'normal' catwalk.

And Tiffany added to Fox News that it's not always easy being a plus-size model.

She added: 'I’m always in really uncomfortable situations, especially in situations when you are at a general casting where you can have plus-sized models and straight-sized models.

Model behaviour: Audrey Curry and Tiffany strut their stuff in a plus-sized swimwear runway show

Not impressed: In last night's show, the girls were seen going to a party specifically for men who love big, beautiful women

'You’re always looked at a little bit longer than everyone else, and there’s this big misconception in the industry that you don’t have to work as hard to be a professional plus-sized model.'

The group were also seen on last night's show being turned away from a Manhattan club for not being slim enough by a bouncer - who then said he would let them inside if they paid an extra $30.

And they were horrified when they went to a party specifically for men who love BBWs - big, beautiful women.

Chilling out: Bikini designer Heather Roach has a lay in the sunshine

A representative for TLC said of the new three-part show: 'They are big, they are beautiful, and they are not sitting at home waiting for life to happen.

'They know better than anyone that real women can be sexy with curves - no matter what society says.'

Who's that girl? Big Brother star Josie Gibson is almost unrecognisable after losing even MORE weight

By Sarah Bull

Who's that girl? Former Big Brother star Josie Gibson showed off her noticeably slimmer frame on Let's Do Lunch With Gino And Mel last week

She said in an interview earlier this month that she's a 'comfortable' size 16.

But former Big Brother star Josie Gibson is almost unrecognisable since her reality TV days, showing off her much slimmer frame as she appeared on ITV's new lunchtime show Let's Do Lunch With Gino And Mel.

Josie, 25, covered up in a printed blue kaftan-style top for her appearance on the show last week, but her weight loss was clear to see.

Disappearing: Josie, who says she was nearly a size 20 when she won Big Brother (right), is now a 'comfortable' size 16

The pretty blonde said earlier this month that she was happy enough with her size 16 figure, but added she is considering having surgery to sort out her breasts.

She said: 'I've given up drinking and it's marvellous. Your skin's better, the whites of your eyes look better and you feel better. I'm a size 16 and I'm comfortable.'

'But I'm going to get my boobs done as one's a D cup and the other's three times smaller. I'd never have lipo - I exercise to tone up.

'I'm shaped like a Christmas tree and one boob's bigger than the other so I'd only give myself four out of ten. I love my eyes, but I really have to work on my bottom half.'

Josie was prompted to lose weight after coming out of the Big Brother house in 2010, and managed to slim down from 16st 7lb to 13st 7lbs.

Talking about losing weight, Josie said: 'I came out of the Big Brother house looking like Ten Ton Tessie. I put on a good two stone in the house. I didn't stop eating in there. I love my food.

'Obviously I wanted to lose weight as I'd turned into a bit of a heifer.

'Now I just feel really fit and healthy.

‘Before I lost weight I was nearly size 20 and my only exercise was partying. I've tried all the diets - I did the Cambridge Diet and lasted from the meeting until I got home!

'They gave me all the bits and pieces but I ate a week's worth of food on the spot, then stopped for a kebab.'

Slender: Josie looked significantly slimmer now than she did in June (right)

Since winning last year's Big Brother, and then taking part in Ultimate Big Brother, Josie has been working hard to further her presenting career, and has been fronting Channel 5 magazine show OKTV this week.

Before presenting her first show, Josie tweeted her followers: 'Omg super excited about my first proper presenting gig!

'Bit nervous but Mr Brazier really helping me. He's the nicest guy ever!!!'
