Introducing TAI CARTER starring in "LAP OF LUXURY"

LADIES | DAMES

EVEN THOUGH US MEN DO NOT ALWAYS TELL YOU, YOUR HAIR DRIVES US CRAZY. WE LOVE THE WAY ITS CUT, THE WAY IT FEELS, AND OF COURSE THE SMELL. ON 11.25.08, TAKE OUR INTEREST IN YOU TO ANOTHER LEVEL BY GETTING YOUR HAIR DONE BY THE BEST HAIR DRESSER. IF YOU TRY TO STAND OUT WITH OUTRAGEOUS HAIR DYES OR HAIR STYLE, YOU WILL BE LEFT OUT.

AS MUCH AS WE LOVE TO SEE YOUR CURVES IN YOUR JEANS, YOUR CURVES LOOK EVEN BETTER IN A DRESS OR A PENCIL SKIRT. PAIR UP YOUR PENCIL SKIRT WITH A TIGHT BLOUSE. SEXY! AS FAR AS YOUR DRESS, LEAVE LITTLE TO THE IMAGINATION. AS BEYONCE WOULD PUT IT, WEAR YOUR FREAK 'UM DRESS. IF YOU SUCCESFULLY ACHIEVE THIS LOOK, GENTLEMAN WILL BE OFFERING YOU THE WORLD THAT NIGHT.

IF YOU WANT TO SHOW OFF YOUR LEGS, DO NOT WEAR SHORTS . WEAR A SKIRT INSTEAD. THAT'S SEXY! BY THE WAY, WAXING IS A MUST!

TO PRESERVE YOUR SEXY, COMPLETE YOUR LOOK WITH SOME HEELS . IF YOU ARE LUCKY, SOMEONE ELSE WILL BE TAKING THEM OFF FOR YOU ON MONDAY MORNING. IF YOU ARE GOING TO WEAR OPEN TOES, MAKE SURE YOU HAD A PEDICURE DONE SUNDAY MORNING. THERE IS NOTHING WORST THAN HAVING UGLY TOES.

TIPS
WEAR LIP GLOSS OR LIP STICK.
SPANDEX IS MADE FOR THE GYM.
IF YOU LIKE HIM, BUY HIM A DRINK.
IF HE SAYS, "EXCUSE ME", TALK TO HIM.
WHEN YOU RSVP, KEEP ONLY YOUR PRETTY FRIENDS IN MIND.
DON'T WORRY, SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND.
COORDINATE.

GENTLEMAN | MONSIEUR

AVOID WEARING A HAT OR HEADGEAR OF ANY TYPE. SHOW OFF THE PROFESSIONALISM OF YOUR BARBER. THE LADIES APPRECIATE A GOOD HAIR CUT.

PLEASE WEAR A DRESS SHIRT. WHILE BUTTON-UPS ARE TYPICALLY ACCEPTABLE, THEY SOMETIMES DO NOT REPRESENT ELEGANCE. QUITE FRANKLY, SOME BUTTON-UPS ARE UGLY. SHOW OFF YOUR STYLE BY WEARING EITHER A SOLID COLOR OR PIN-STRIPED DRESS SHIRT. FOR ADDED STYLE, ACCOMPANY YOUR SHIRT WITH A TIE, BOW TIE, SWEATER, OR BLAZER. BY THE WAY, IF YOU PLAN ON WEARING A T-SHIRT (ED HARDY, CHRISTIAN AUDIGIER, ETC.) OR A POLO SHIRT , DO NOT BOTHER COMING.

TO CONTINUE AN ELEGANT LOOK, WEAR DRESS PANTS, SLACKS OR TROUSERS. MAKE SURE THEY ARE PROPERLY TAILORED AND PRESSED. IF YOU MUST WEAR JEANS, MAKE SURE YOU WEAR THEM THE RIGHT WAY. WHILE ARTWORK ON JEANS MAY BE A TREND, THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE ON 11.25.08. IN THE WORLD OF LUXURY, ARTWORK BELONGS ON THE WALL. ALSO, WEAR JEANS THAT FIT. CHOOSE A DARK WASHED, REGULAR OR RELAXED FIT JEAN WITH A STRAIGHT LEG CUT.

THERE WILL BE A LOT OF LADIES AT THE LAP OF LUXURY CELEBRATION. MANY OF THEM WILL BE SINGLE. IF YOU THINK YOU WILL GAIN THEIR INTEREST WITH JUST A DRINK AND GOOD CONVERSATION, YOU ARE WRONG. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WEARING BLACK OR BROWN DRESS SHOES. CHOOSE AN OXFORD STYLE OR LOAFERS. IF YOU ARE GOING TO WEAR LOAFERS, WEAR LOUIS VUITTON, PRADA OR GUCCI . IF THEY ARE NOT BRAND NEW, SHINE THEM AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT SCUFFED. IF YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR SNEAKERS , YOU WILL GET AN ALL NIGHT PASS TO HANG OUT WITH ART AT THE FRONT DOOR. DO NOT WEAR TIMBERLANDS, THE LOUNGE IS NOT A CONSTRUCTION SITE.

TIPS:
POP A MINT RATHER THAN CHEWING GUM.
DO NOT WEAR BRIGHT COLORS.
ACCESSORIZE (TIES, BELTS, WATCHES, AND/OR AVIATOR SHADES)
OFFER A LADY A DRINK.
START YOUR CONVERSATIONS WITH "EXCUSE ME" NOT "HEY".
GET A MANICURE.
DO NOT SMOKE.
GET TIPSY, NOT DRUNK .
COORDINATE.

BMW M1... YOU MAY SEE ONE OF THESE SOON...

In a nod to the 30th anniversary of the fabled BMW M1 supercar, BMW Group Design just launched a new concept car that acts as a homage to it—and that's also what they named it. At the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2008 this week, the company debuted the BMW M1 Homage, which they call a "design study in the tradition of a BMW Turbo that represents a contemporary take on the BMW M1 and the mid-engine concept."

The concept's Liquid Orange paint is meant as a tribute to the original car's color, The air vents in the hood, the twin rear badges, the rear window louvers, and the black cutline that separates the roofline from the rear of the car are also details that made it into the new version. The dimensions are mostly the same as the original except for an extended wheelbase for more interior room. The headlights almost disappear into the car when closed, as a kind of new iteration of the long-since-gone retractable lamps of old (which the M1 had, along with Porsche 944s, Pontiac Firebirds, and countless other sports cars of the era).

There's no word on anything underneath the skin, but let's hope they decide to build it. After all, the original BMW M1 began life as a show car, before entering production in a joint bid with Lamborghini to build enough race cars for homologation purposes

FORBES TRAVELERS: FOOD/DRINKS... I call it "les diner dramatic" lol

lavish dinner...vegas
AUREOLE, LAS VEGAS

Inspired by—no joke—Tom Cruise's iconic heist scene from his first Mission Impossible flick, wine stewards at this Las Vegas spot zip up a 42-foot glass wine tower to fetch your bottle of choice, then deliver it to your table—from above. Little wonder they're called "Wine Angels." The bottles are kept at 55 degrees Fahrenheit with 70 percent humidity. In other words, ideal conditions.

KARU&Y, MIAMI

Every experience at this Miami "sanctuary of art, cuisine and entertainment" is, in its own way, lavish and decadent. The menu of "alta cuisine" (or, as they say, "cuisine of the Americas") is seasonal, sensational and compelling; stand-outs include oxtail lasagna, foie gras butter-poached shrimp and grouper consommé. It's served in a 25,000-square-foot space that features mountains of Pakistani onyx and golden totem columns that move and lush waterfalls that shimmer. The "ultralounge" and 50-person-max VIP lounge have fully adaptive environmental controls.

LAVISH5
ASIA SF, SAN FRANCISCO

Amid color-changing shoji walls in this manga-style Moulin Rouge, a staff of drag queens serves high-end wine and truffled soba noodles on the red rubber bar-cum-runway. Their singing and dancing skews toward campy fun, making this a popular spot for upscale bachelorette parties. (Expect to shell out $150 a head for limo service, all-star cuisine, a very male stripper and a scavenger hunt.) Not surprisingly, desserts includes a warm banana dipped in various sweet sauces.

LAVISH 7
NINJA, NEW YORK

By learning the "Ninja Bible," waiters must pass a ninja training course before they can start working at this New York City curiosity. As you dine on the top-notch contemporary Japanese cuisine, these ninja warriors fight each other and often surprise diners by pouncing from ceiling tiles above. The "ninja castle" is spacious enough to host small chamber orchestras that serenade diners. Keep an eye out for the sorcerer who does table-side shows.

POD, PHILADELPHIA

Another lavish Philadelphia eatery by restaurateur by Steven Starr (who also opened Buddakan), Pod is one part Tokyo, one part Stanley Kubrick's 2001 and all parts spectacular. That this futuristic outpost sits in one of America's oldest cities is just part of its charm; the sushi conveyor belt, white vinyl walls and isolated "pod" dinner tables are among its others. Try the color-coordinated cocktails, Kobe beef medallions and fresh sashimi, said to be among the best in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, the three-pound Maine lobster—nicknamed Lobzilla—is currently off the menu.

DONT THANK ME...THANK TAI CHIEM... concept psp2

Here is a new concept for the Playstation Portable I hope to see in the near future. This PSP2 design concept by Tai Chiem probably won’t be made anytime soon, but it really should.

Pisces: When it comes to physical beauty, you are unconventional, a risk-taker motivated by subconscious visions and ethereal longings. Not one to follow trends, you strike out on your own in defense of your independent spirit. You loathe conformity, but despite your rebellion, people can't help but be attracted to you!
