It was reported last night that Shane Warne had asked Elizabeth Hurley to marry him.

And today the glamorous mother-of-one showed off her new engagement ring after accepting the Australian cricketer's proposal.

Posing together with Hurley's son Damien at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this afternoon, the pair looked happier than ever as Hurley proudly flashed her sapphire and diamond ring.

The stunning ring, which features a huge square sapphire and two diamonds on either side, looked right at home on Hurley's left hand.

The Estée Lauder model, 45, went for a casual look in a pair of navy jogging bottoms, jumper and scarf as she took to the golf course with Warne, who opted for a baby blue jumper and beige trousers.

Damien, nine, clutched on to his mother's arm as he posed up for a photo with Hurley and Warne, who will soon be his stepfather.

Warne is believed to have proposed in a restaurant at the exclusive Old Course Hotel in St Andrews following a romantic meal.

Warne, 42, made the declaration in front of stunned VIP guests in the hotel’s fine dining Road Hole Restaurant, sources said.

The source said: ‘Shane proposed over dinner and it was fairly public, not a private affair.

'It was a VIP crowd in there this evening. It was residents only, including Dunhill past players.

‘He didn’t get down on one knee, but when it was announced the other guests in the restaurant stood up and applauded.

‘Everyone there was absolutely delighted.’
A spokesman for the Scottish hotel said they were unable to comment on the news.

Speculation has been rife Warne was planning to propose to the 45-year-old model and mother-of-one. They have been dating for only ten months.

The actress sported the same army green combat trousers this morning as she wore last night while out to dinner with Justin, 40.

Although she also wore the same black purse last night, the rest of her outfit was obscured by a long black coat and a grey scarf.

This morning Aniston looked casually rumpled. She had folded the cuffs on her trousers down to cover her shoes.

Smart? To be photographed wearing the same clothes two days in a row? Not so much

For legendary spin bowler Shane Warne, this was one delivery he had to get right.

The Australian cricketer has popped the question to girlfriend Liz Hurley, it was claimed last night.

He is believed to have proposed in a restaurant at the exclusive Old Course Hotel in St Andrews following a romantic meal.


Mr Warne, 42, made the declaration in front of stunned VIP guests in the hotel’s fine dining Road Hole Restaurant, sources said. To the delight of gathered diners, Miss Hurley is said to have accepted.

But now Luke Lucas, 16, has fallen at the final hurdle after breaking down during his performance in front of Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams at the judges' houses stage of the competition.

News of the teenager's fragile emotional state is likely to come as another blow to the ITV programme, who are already under fire amid claims they 'bullied' widow Ceri Rees when she auditioned for the show.

Luke will be shown in tonight's show breaking down in tears after stumbling through his final audition before the live finals at Williams' Los Angeles mansion.

A source told The Sun: 'Luke found the pressure really difficult. He messed up one of his songs then started crying when he feared he had blown his chance.

She said: 'It's like "conditioning experiments" that took place in the Sixties on animals.

Jade Goody's sons have been left with a small portion of her fortune after it was swallowed up by a staggering £1.8million in debt, it has been reported.

The reality star's children Bobby, eight, and Freddie, seven, are set to inherit less than £400,000 - a far cry from the £3million their mother believed she had left them with.

Goody, who died aged 27, expressed her wish to provide for her beloved sons but was seemingly unaware of the enormous tax, mortgage and other fees she owed.


The Sun has reported that the former Big Brother star did not pay tax for four years before her death on Mother's Day 2009, and owed the Inland Revenue £585,000.

The mortgages on her three Essex properties were in arrears £170,000, the paper claims, while she owed over £1million on an array of other car payments, lawyers, agents and accountants' fees.

All of this combined has eaten away the majority of Goody's £2.2million fortune.

Before her death, Jade said: 'Everything I have, my houses, my money, is going to my sons. I always wanted my family to have what I never could, no matter what it might cost.'

At the time it was widely reported that Jade's sons would benefit from a £3million trust, but it is not to be.

'Sadly, because she lived her life in such an erratic, chaotic way, she never thought about her accounts, like a lot of celebrities,' a source told The Sun.

'"They have had to go through all her receipts for the past four years of her life and it has wiped out the boys' inheritance.'

The remaining inheritance should cover Freddie and Bobby's school fees but there will be little remaining.

Jade became an overnight star after appearing in Big Brother in 2002. She also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2007 and appeared in her own reality series.

Goody also made money through her own fragrances and male-only salon.

The boys live with their father Jeff Brazier, while Jade's husband Jack Goody was left out of her will.

Hugh Jackman has revealed that his wife gets upset if he is in better shape than her.

The 42-year-old often buffs up for movie roles but said that his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, 55, hates it when he outshines her.

Just this week the X-Men star put his incredible form on show as he took to the surf at Bondi Beach in his native Australia.

'Overall, Deb would say to me my job is to be out of shape so that she can look as good as possible,' he tells Australia's News.com.au.

'So she's always upset with me if I'm in really good shape.'

'She's like, 'I think you're forgetting the contract of marriage - ultimately everything is about me looking better, so enough with the training'.'

And he said that she isn't a huge fan of his muscles anyway.

'Let me give you a little insight into my wife. I met her on a prison drama where I had tats all over my body and a mullet, and that turned her on,' he explained.

'She likes the bad boys.'

The couple have been married for 15 years and have two children together - Oscar, 11, and Ava, 6.

The actor is currently promoting his new film Real Steal, an action sci-fi about robots who have replaced humans in boxing.

She wowed fans when she unveiled her new blonde hair earlier this year, and now Cheryl Cole is mixing things up with yet another new look.

The 28-year-old singer stepped out with her bob teased into tumbling curls after a lengthy trip to a hair salon earlier this week.

Cheryl teamed her wavy look with a £345 Marc Jacobs printed panther minidress, brown boots and a £855 Ralph Lauren satchel-type bag as she made the most of the sunshine during her trip to New York.

She had earlier arrived at the hairdressers with her hair tied up with a big bow.

But Cheryl has also apparently found time for a bit of romance, and was recently romantically linked to music producer Alex Da Kid, with whom she has been working on her new material.

A source told the Sun: 'Cheryl and Alex have struck up a great friendship and have been living in each other's pockets for the past week.

'Some of the recording sessions have run into the very early hours with just the two of them and a laptop in their hotel rooms.

'Cheryl has been suffering from jet lag and couldn't sleep , so they have just worked through the night.

'It hasn't been all work though - they've enjoyed some play too.

'If the music is going to work, then they need to find their own chemistry.'

Cheryl has also been keeping her fans updated with what's going on with the recording on her Twitter page, which she set up earlier this year.

She tweeted earlier this week: 'I'm gonna have to get some patience.

;This is hard.. I'm too frustrated with excitement for you to hear my new music.. I could pop!!'

But one thing Cheryl fans are set to be disappointed about are reports that the singer was set to return to the UK X Factor for the live final.

N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, who replaced Cheryl on the show, said the rumours are not true.
