Iranian Pastor Sentenced To Death For Being A Christian

Youcef Nadarkhani

Iranian Christian pastor, Youcef Nadarkhani, has been sentenced to death, for being a preacher of the gospel living in Iran. Nadarkhani has been charged with apostasy by the Muslim state, who have been placed under a significant amount of world scrutiny for this decision, drawing the condemnation of a number of nations. Nadarkhani has been given the option of recanting his Christian faith or being hanged.

He has refused to renounce his faith and the Iranian government has not called off the execution. A person should be able to freely practice their faith without harm or retribution. Here's hoping the Iranian government will do the right thing, drop the charges and not execute pastor Nadarkhani. God bless you and your family, Youcef.

Celluloid Film Review: Madea's Big Happy Family

Title: Madea's Big Happy Family

Year Of Release: 2011

Review Date: September 30, 2011

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 106 minutes

Box Office Gross: $53,345,287

Site Rating: 6 out of 10 stars

"Madea's Big Happy Family" is the story of Madea's big crazy family, struggling with various problems. Loretta Devine, stars as "Shirley" a family matriarch dying from cancer and wanting her family together for a nice meal together, where she can give them the bad news, after being given weeks to live.

However, Shirley's family, comprised of her adult children, have many problems that range from martial trouble to a past secret incident of molestation, resulting in each attempt at a dinner, descending into fights. This film is sad, but brings up topics people struggle with everyday.

While the Celluloid Film Review is no fan of LionsGate, the distributor of "Madea's Big Happy Family" due to the company's unethical conduct in a number of issues, which have ventured into unlawful territory, Perry has been taking a lot of undeserved flack for his work that has been labeled buffoonery. This was a good film and contrary to what some think, there are people in the black community like some of the characters therein that have been deemed "embarrassing." Why should they be underrepresented.

It reminds me of small controversies, regarding some Jewish people not liking the sitcom "The Nanny" due to the stereotypes it contained (but the funny character had a good, kind heart and was very giving) and some Anglo-Saxons being embarrassed by "Married With Children." Well, sorry white people, I can't help you with "Married With Children" but now you know how we (black people) feel when we see "Flavor Of Love."

Celluloid Film Review: The Lincoln Lawyer

Title: The Lincoln Lawyer

Year Of Release: 2011

Review Date: September 30, 2011

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 119 minutes

Box Office Gross: $85,507,593

Site Rating: 5 out of 10 stars

Family Warning: contains some sexual content, violence and bad language

"The Lincoln Lawyer" stars the handsome and charming, Matthew McConaughey, as a tough criminal defense attorney. At first, I thought the film was set in the U.S. city of Lincoln, Nebraska, due to the title, but it was not so.

The film apparently got its name from the main character, attorney, Mickey Haller, being driven around all day, by a round the way tough guy in a Lincoln car. The Lincoln serves as his office, as he has no fixed business address, well, other than his secondary one, a home office (my favorite kind).

Haller is sought out by a seemingly normal client, who claims he has been wrongly accused of a terrible murder, but as the film progresses, it is revealed, he is as a phrase I read recently, "Nuttier than squirrel doodoo." The film has many twists that are somewhat surprising.

Celluloid Film Review: Arthur

Title: Arthur

Year Of Release: 2011

Review Date: September 30, 2011

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 110 minutes

Box Office Gross: $65,339,543

Site Rating: 2 out of 10 stars

Family Warning: contains some sexual content and bad language

"Arthur" the remake of the 1981 film of the same name, did not live up to its predecessor, regarding the promiscuous Brit living in New York. The reboot, which stars British comedic actor, Russell Brand, in the role, did not quite do the late Dudley Moore justice. Most filmgoers probably did not look past the surface of this film's trailer, to buy a ticket to see it, as the movie so paled in comparison to what came before it, the deterioration in quality was immediately apparent.

The film did have a few funny moments, but it took way too long for them to arrive. Some jokes did fall somewhat flat, while ironically characterizing the Obama Administration's view on economics. When officials inform Arthur he is living a lavish and meaningless life, by stating, "How do you explain this frivolous spending during a recession" - he simply goes to an ATM, obtains funds from his family's account and spontaneously begins throwing it all over a room full of people while proclaiming, "Free money, recession's over, we're in a boom." The Obama school of economics, indeed.

Speaking of Obama, Hollywood has been name dropping him in their movies, as a means of promoting him. This is being done in bids at propping him up, after their insane agenda, bad advice and constant presence at the White House, firmly planted the first African-American presidency in trouble (see polls). When Arthur is confronted by his mother about his debauched lifestyle and her desire for him to marry a domineering woman he does not love, she admonishes him by stating, "As the charming coffee colored gentleman (Obama) that runs this country said, 'It is time to put aside childish things.'" Actually, that phrase came from the Bible (1 Corinthians 13:11). Leave it to Hollywood to compliment and insult in the same sentence, where no matter what they tell you, race is a factor.

Celluloid Film Review: The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Title: The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Year Of Release: 2009

Review Date: September 30, 2011

Rating: PG

Running time: 87 minutes

Box Office Gross: $46,471,023

Site Rating: 1 out of 10 stars

"The Fantastic Mr. Fox" starring George Clooney, is possibly one of the most boring animated films I have ever seen. I couldn't wait for it to finish. "Mr. Fox" is the story of a thieving fox that steals food from farmers (right up Hollywood's alley). When the farmers figure out what is transpiring and try to kill Fox and his cohorts, they flee underground. Much more could have been done with this film that was adapted from a children's novel, as the movie was dull and the animation chintzy.

You blue it with that one: Actress Kate Winslet catches a dose of the frumps at the Longines party in Shanghai

By Marcus Barnes

Don't be blue: Kate Winslet's dress does nothing for her figure at the Longines party in Shanghai - while the brighter red dress on the right is far more flattering

She's usually adept at making great wardrobe choices, or perhaps taking the advice of a professional stylist.

But Kate Winslet slipped up at an event in Shanghai this week, wearing a rather unflattering blue dress for her appearance in the Chinese city.

The 35-year-old was at a party held on behalf of Longines, a Swiss watch company.

She squeezed herself into the floor-length royal blue number which did little to compliment her hour glass figure.

Just a week ago she appeared at the Emmys looking fantastic in a bright red dress, which exposed just a hint of cleavage but also accentuated her great figure.

Kate was in attendance for a gala celebrating the launch of the Longines DolceVita jewellery watch.

Scarlet woman: The actress looked great at the Emmys last week where she wore a flattering red number

The actress is in fact a Longines Ambassador of Elegance, along with other stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Andre Agassi, and Steffi Graf, and has appeared in advertisements for the company.

Earlier in the day she appeared at another event for the watchmakers, this time in a sensible and trustworthy LBD.

Meanwhile, Kate is also working with another huge global brand to create a special cosmetics collection for charity.

It's looks ok doesn't it?: Kate courts attention as she arrives at the gala

Elegant: The actress is the Longines Ambassador For Elegance - representing the brand globally

She has collaborated with experts at make-up giant Lancome to come up with a range of lipsticks, blushers and nail polishes for its 2011 winter range.

Lancome bosses have promised to donate $200,000 of profits raised from sales of the cosmetics to The Golden Hat Foundation, a non-profit organisation set up by the Titanic star last year to raise awareness of autism.

Kate says: 'Lancome’s instant offer of support was a huge display of confidence and generosity. I knew it would open many doors.'

Safer bet: The actress went for a more sensible LBD earlier in the day

The Oscar-winner has recently been linked with Richard Branson's nephew.

Ned Abel Smith, who changed his name by deed poll to RocknRoll, is allegedly 'smitten' with Kate.

Ned, 33, split from his society heiress wife Eliza — who is ten years his junior — earlier this year.

Budding romance? Kate Winslet and Richard Branson's nephew Ned Rocknroll arrive together at the memorial celebration for the mogul's father Ted in London

He was pictured with Kate at the memorial service for Mr Branson’s father Ted at the Royal Geographical Society’s headquarters in Kensington, London.

It is thought they are now holed up in a rural hideaway in the Home Counties.

Mr RocknRoll has only recently separated from multi-millionaire Viscount Cowdray’s daughter Eliza, 23.

Is it over for good? Kate was pictured with her on-off boyfriend Louis Dowler

But Ned is still married and Eliza reportedly wants him back.

A source told The Sun that after the couple split earlier this year: 'Ned was heartbroken and went to Necker Island to take his mind of things.

'But when Kate came out they really hit it off. They had met before on the island but were both in relationships.

When they left they travelled to New York to be together.'

The mysterious case of Kate's disappearing ring: Why we saw the Duchess's sapphire sparkler... then it was gone

By Tamara Abraham

Mysterious case: The Duchess of Cambridge was wearing her sapphire engagement ring when she arrived at the Royal Marsden in London yesterday (left) but it had vanished by the time she left two hours later (right)

It is probably the most famous engagement ring in the world. So it didn't take long for a few people to notice that the Duchess of Cambridge's ever-present sapphire and diamond sparkler had mysteriously vanished yesterday.

Catherine, who was with her husband, Prince William, for the opening of a new cancer centre, was wearing the £250,000 Garrard ring, once owned by Princess Diana, when she arrived at the Royal Marsden in south London.

It was a distinctive shock of colour against her oatmeal-coloured Amanda Wakeley dress.

But one inside the hospital, the only jewellery remaining on her left hand was her plain gold wedding band.

Of course, there was a simple explanation for the missing ring. Rather than misplacing it, or making some ill-timed statement about the state of her marriage, the Duchess had simply stowed it in her LK Bennett clutch bag for hygiene reasons on the advice of hospital staff.

The most famous engagement ring in the world: It didn't take long for a few people to notice that the Duchess of Cambridge's ever-present sapphire and diamond sparkler had vanished

Hospital protocol: The Duchess left her ring and clutch in the care of hospital staff for hygiene reasons. The Duke had removed his jacket, tucked away his tie and rolled his sleeves for the same purpose

A palace source told People magazine: 'The plan was always to take it off when she went into the ward in the same way the Duke and palace staff rolled up sleeves and tucked ties into their shirts.'

They revealed that William's jacket and Catherine's clutch were left in the care of hospital staff while they were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Oak Centre.

And before their audiences with young patients, they followed strict hospital protocol by rubbing antiseptic gel onto their hands.

Sparking form: The Duchess also wore a small silver, diamond-studded cross on a chain and diamond earrings by Kiki McDonough, which she was not required to remove

Elegant: Catherine wore an Amanda Wakeley dress with an LK Bennett clutch and heels for the hospital visit

The Duchess also wore a small diamond-studded silver cross on a chain and diamond earrings by Kiki McDonough, which she was not required to remove.

The look was completed by sheer hosiery and her favourite LK Bennett nude patent pumps.

Amanda Wakeley expressed her delight at Catherine choosing her design on Twitter.

She tweeted: 'See The Duchess of Cambridge looking stunning wearing AW'11... She also snapped up the dress in black and gunmetal!'

Pictured: Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher reunite at Kabbalah centre for first time since cheating allegations

By Daily Mail Reporter

Reunited: Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore both visited a Kabbalah centre in Los Angeles today

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher reunited today for the first time since the Two And A Half Men star was accused of being unfaithful to his wife on their six-year wedding anniversary.

The couple were seen at a Kabbalah centre in Los Angeles today and both were wearing their wedding rings.

Demi, 48, and Ashton, 33, arrived separately but left the establishment together, according to an onlooker.

It comes amid claims their marriage is on the rocks following allegations that he had a fling with 23-year-old student Sara Leal earlier this month.

The couple have turned to the religion and have been receiving counselling throughout the summer in order to save their marriage, according to reports.

'Her and Ashton had been receiving counselling from Kabbalah over the summer to try to fix their marriage,' a source told Entertainment Tonight, who also said that the couple have been living apart.

Today is Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah, and it is said to be the day where followers of the faith can 'wash away their sins'.

Ring firmly on: Demi was wearing her wedding band during the outing

Kabbalah is based on the Jewish religion and is described as having a 'esoteric aspect' of the faith.

Both Demi and Ashton follow the religion, and were married in a Kabbalah ceremony in 2005.

Today Ashton was spotted wearing a pair of beige trousers with a chocolate blazer and pink checked shirt and tie.

Looking downcast, he quickly dashed to his parked Lexus and zoomed off.

Mending bridges? The pair arrived separately but left the establishment together, according to onlookers

Meanwhile Demi, who is back in LA after a stint in New York where she was promoting her Lifetime movie Five, wore a flowing grey and purple skirt, a charcoal sweater and some leather ankle boots.

She is said to have stayed with Ashton at their home last night.

Sources have told Entertainment Tonight that Demi has been left "sad, hurt and embarrassed' by the scandal.

They are yet to release a statement about the accusations, however, Ashton has addressed the matter through cryptic messages on Twitter.

On Wednesday he wrote: 'When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an ASS out of U and ME'.

Since news of the allegations broke, he has also tweeted a link to his Spotify account on Wednesday where he was playing the Public Enemy song Don't Believe the Hype.

His Twitter background display is a clock that shows words instead of numerlas - the hands pointing towards the words 'anxiety' and 'fear'.

Demi, who is also a prolific Twitter user, has been silent in recent days.

But before the spotlight was put on their marriage, Demi hinted at some discord in her personal life.

The other woman? Ashton is accused of having a fling with Sara Leal

She tweeted a picture of herself with her eyes shut and the caption 'I see through you' on Monday.

She also posted a quote about 'anger' by Greek philosopher Epictetus.

Ashton is accused of having the extra-marital fling at a hotel in San Diego over the weekend of his wedding anniversary on September 24.

Ashton was at Fluxx that night where he partied until the early hours of Saturday - the day of the anniversary. His wife was on the East Coast at the time.

Forlorn: Moore posted this picture of herself on Monday with eyes closed looking solemn, with the words 'I see through you'

Cryptic: She also posted this mysterious message on her Twitter account the Monday after her wedding anniversary

A woman, identified by various U.S. media outlets as Leal, claims to have had a late night liaison with the star.

Meanwhile it appears that at some point Demi unfollowed her husband on Twitter, meaning she did not get his posts in her feed, but has added him back onto the list of profiles she followers recently.

The social networking site shows who a person follows listing the most recent addition made by that person and according to this Ashton's profile is among the 20 most recently added by the actress.

Leal is reportedly trying to tout her story for $250,000 and hoping to get a pay-off from Ashton's team.

Clues? Ashton's Twitter background is a clock pointing to words anxiety and fear

According to her now deleted Facebook page, Leal, who went to school in Texas, is a model and aspiring director and been shopping a movie called 'Runaway,' with not much success.

Radar is reporting that she has now gone into hiding and hired a 'top Hollywood attorney'.

She has been advised by top Hollywood hotshot lawyer Keith Davidson, to delete all of her social networking sites.

If Kutcher and Moore's marriage does end in divorce, the couple could be battling it out in a bitter $290 million split.

Demi has three daughters Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah, 17, from her marriage to Bruce Willis, which ended in 2000 after 13 years.

She has long hoped to have a child with Ashton, saying last year it would 'be another incredible part of our journey together.'

Twitter response: Kutcher posted this message on his page on Wednesday

Timely tune: Kutcher posted this link to Public Enemy song Don't Believe the Hype on his Spotify account earlier this week
